Attending labor and employee relations events is important for one major reason: the path to forming positive employee relationships is always evolving. The current evolution stage is in response to changing labor market dynamics, new generations of workers with new perspectives about management roles and employee-employer relationships, technologies changing work and thus job responsibilities, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a federal administration supporting labor unions. It's tempting to think there isn't much more that can change. Still, labor and employee relations have a future that will be influenced by the maturing of some of the current evolutionary factors and the projected introduction of new ones in a post-pandemic world.
The one constant is that business leaders must remain proactive in staying informed and one step ahead in managing positive labor and employee relations. Projections, an IRI Consultants company, calls this period the Proactive Era, and the word "era" was purposefully chosen. An era is a long and distinct period. One of the best ways to stay proactive is to attend the 2022 labor and employee relations events that bring labor relations specialists together with Human Resources leaders.
The last couple of years has been especially difficult for professionals in labor and employee relations because they are "people persons." They like interacting with people as they strive to help them meet personal and work goals. The pandemic has severely limited their ability to interact directly with people for the most part. Ejita Webb is the Events Coordinator for IRI Consultants and says, "Professionals in labor and employee relations have been longing for a sense of community and connection over the last two years. We're now seeing some events offering hybrid attendance options and others going fully in-person - with precautions, of course - and that's great news for our industry."
Following are 11 important 2022 labor and employee relations events that can help you stay abreast of changes in labor markets and Human Resources management best practices and opportunities to network with other professionals. At the end of each summary is contact information.
Professionals in #labor and #employeerelations have been longing for a sense of #community and #connection over the last two years. 2022 is bringing great opportunities for this industry!
