The name Projections comes from the multi-projector slide shows that Darrell and Lynn Dobresk and their one employee produced for employers. The next 8 years were spent honing the company’s skills in reaching employees effectively with an approachable & believable voice.
Tom Foods in Columbus, Georgia asks, “Have you ever considered producing a show on video?” We bought a VHS camera at Sears and read the manual on the way to the video shoot. Although, Projections never looked back as this new era began, they did not forget that the message was still the most critical element of the process.
We produced our first video in Spanish for Weathashade. Other foreign firsts: Chinese for Reno Hilton in 1993, Japanese for MacSteel in 1996, Vietnamese for Tacoma Tribune in 1997, French for Michelin in 2002, Polish and Haitian Creole in 2005 and Hmong, Bengoli and Punjahi for FVS Payment Systems in 2011. Today, production of multiple languages for companies is a common occurrence.
Projections moves into a new facility in Atlanta to both accommodate its rapid growth and to build a state of the art production facility complete with a studio and working sets.
The first of what will be hundreds of Orientation videos for Clients all across the U.S. and Canada is produced for Raritan River Steel in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
Projections is up to 8 employees including a young CNN intern, named Jennifer Graham who is hired as Studio Manager. She eventually wears every hat at Projections including scriptwriting, producer, editor, videographer and today is our most Senior employee and our Chief Operating Officer.
Projections wins an International Television Association Gold Award for Scriptwriting for Violence in the Workplace. This is the first of hundreds of top awards for writing, animation, directing, videography, music, web design and eLearning. A true testament to the Violence video is that is still sold today some 25+ years later.
Projections hires Walter Orechwa as Video Production Manager overseeing a staff of 12 studio production employees. Over the next four years, Projections doubles both in size and revenue.

What do you mean Clients might want to communicate to their employees via the web? Projections produces its first website for Continental General Tire in North Carolina. Projections now has 25 employees operating as Video group and a Multimedia group.
Projections retrofits its entire studio space for green screen shooting to produce 90 training videos in 120 days for the World’s largest retailer, a six-DVD Manager training series for all of its retail locations in the U.S. A massive project that paved the way for a lot of our green screen technological advancements that we still utilize today.
Projections develops its first eLearning program for the Kerr McGee Corporation. This award winning crisis management training was rolled out in 4 segments over a year reaching employees at both land-based chemical facilities and oil platforms in the middle of the ocean!
Projections is purchased by its Vice-President of Operations, Walter Orechwa, an employee since 1995, as the owners retire after 27 exciting years.
